Video: No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson Trailer
This is the trailer for “No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson.” The film is directed by Steve James of “Hoop Dreams” fame and will air on ESPN Tuesday April 13th at part of the network’s ‘30 for 30′ series.
Survey: Roy Halladay’s Projected 2010 Numbers
ESPN’s Buster Olney emailed general managers, some scouts, some executives to ask them what they think Roy Halladay’s numbers will be in 2010…
Evaluator No. 1: “I would set the over/under on his ERA at 2.50. I’m not comfortable predicting wins because it’s based on too many things he can’t control. If forced to guess, I’ll go with 18.”
Evaluator No. 2: “Twenty wins, 3.00 ERA. He is going from a pitchers’ park to a home run park, but is a ground ball guy. He will be in the Cy Young Top 3.”
Evaluator No. 3: “I’d project a 2.10 ERA with 22 wins.”
Evaluator No. 4: “While I think Halladay’s move to the NL will allow him to perform at a higher level for a longer period of time than if he stayed within the AL East, the advantage of pitching in the NL might begin to be counterbalanced somewhat by the fact that he’s getting older and will inevitably begin to slow down at some point. After all, he is going to turn 33, and though we may not see much of a change statistically this coming season, I also don’t think he’s going to throw up a sub-2.00 ERA while throwing 280 innings either. Something in the 2.50 ERA range with comparable innings pitched as the last couple of seasons seems reasonable for 2010. I can see him winning 21-22 games.”

Report: McNabb Good As Gone; No Demand For Vick
ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks are after either Eagles quarterbacks Donovan McNabb or Kevin Kolb.
It’s no secret that new Seattle head coach Pete Carroll wants to win right away and, in order to do that, Carroll would have to grab himself a top-level quarterback. Paolantonio now firmly believes that McNabb will be traded by the Eagles at some point in the offseason.
We’re not too sure why Carroll would want McNabb or Kolb because neither has won anything. However, if McNabb – who has at least won a few playoff games with the Eagles – does roll out of here there is no guarantee that he’ll be the starter as Michael Vick, who just secured himself a $1.5 million bonus, is sill here and presumably will be for at least the 2010 season.
According to Paolantonio, there’s no demand for Vick by any team in the NFL.
Of Course Eddie Jordan Will Be Fired
The Inquirer has weighed in this morning on what Howard Eskin reported earlier this week and what all Sixers, basketball and fans of common sense already know…
Eddie Jordan will be fired as head coach of the 76ers.
The team is 23-40 with no realistic shot at competing in the playoffs, the players either blame Jordan for their failures or don’t understand his offense or, for that matter, anything he is trying to pull off during gametime.
There is on thing that upsets me about all this delay of the inevitable bullshit-filled press conference featuring Sixers GM Ed Stafanski and Ed Snider talking about how Jordan, who couldn’t handle the Washington Wizards gig, was the right man for the job at the time of his hiring but simply did not perform up to expectations.
Just The Eagles Playing Silly Games
With the revelation that the Eagles would pick up the option on Michael Vick and pay him the $1.5 million he’s owed for still being a member of this team, it begs the question…
What the Hell is going on this this team?
In a recent interview Eagles head coach Andy Reid, who may have has a few too many rum and cokes at the Maxwell dinner where with Mike Missanelli cornered him, said there was a “pretty good chance” that all three of his quarterbacks – Donovan McNabb, Kevin Kolb and Vick – would be back with the team next season.

Philly SportsCast #219 – March 4, 2010
It’s a crucial time of year for the Phillies and the Eagles and while the Phillies and Roy Halliday are taking care of business down there in Florida, the Eagles are looking to move their starting quarterback – or are they?
Also, it’s time to say goodbye to Allen Iverson – again. And again, let’s remember him for all the wonderful things he did on the court and remember nothing that happened with this guy off the court.
