With the solid effort the Bird’s put in during their 31-28 loss to New England, its time to come together to discuss wheather it’s enough “just to get by” with regards to Philadelphia sports. While it is super easy to applaud the Eagles’ monumentous effort, that’s all it was and that is all it will ever be.
The Flyers, on the other hand, are playing as well as can be expected and looking very good in the process. However, when is it realized that while the Flyers seem to be crusing, the effort to not lose is what we get - the effort wo win comes playoff time and that is when the Flyers enevitibly fall short.
Call it what you will - I call it waisted effort.

It’s the night before Thanksgiving and the basement is rockin out with a look at the Flyers, one hell of an MVP chant, a discussion on the Eagles as a 24-point dog and the state of the NFL and just how dominant this Patriots team is - with the way the Eagles looked against the Dolphins last week, this could be a bloodbath.

If the Eagles get the living crap kicked out of them at Lincoln Financial Field and no one is there to see it, does it really happen? We are sad to say, “Yeppers.”
While the Phillies seem to have a plan, the Eagles seem to be content with losing and, as the fans in this town know all too well, LOSING FUCKING SUCKS!!

Philly SportsCast #108 - November 1, 2007
While we were in the basement pouring beers and deciding on what to discuss this evening, it hit us like a drunken Eagles fan would to someone wearing an Aikman jersey - why is this town not going nuts? It’s Dallas week for Christ’s sake; on national television - AT HOME. We are worried about Eagles fans, very worried.
We also tackle the Flyers’ ups and downs as well as our first call from a familiar name on the forums.
Go Birds!
