Philly SportsCast #115 - December 27, 2007
With 2007 coming to a close so does another unsuccessful Eagles season. This week we take a look at the “what-ifs” because there were many. It’s amazing just how much better this Eagles team is playing then this year’s NFC playoff participants - New York Giants anyone? Oh, what could have been.
We also get into the Flyers losing and the Sixers winning. While it is always nice to see any team in this town win, I beg this Sixers team to stop doing so. There is just no need for the Sixers to finish with a middle lottery pick – the talent is slim and the team is far far away from contending. At least we know Billy King won’t be making the personnel call this year.
2007 saw a ton of things happen in Philadelphia sports and Emoney keeps the year alive by dropping another bomb at the end of this podcast – you don’t want to miss this.

It’s a boy.

There will be no podcast this week as Derek , Dave and emoney are celebrating the addition of the newest Philadelphia sports fan – Owen Patrick – emoney’s newest boy.
We do want to take the time to say thank you to everyone supporting Philly SportsCast. While it is true that we would record this thing even if no one was interested in hearing or voices, we continue to be overwhelmed with the amount of people listening to the show.
Thank you all.
Finally I want to display my anger not with the way the Eagles are finishing the season but the way the owner is dressing for away games. Look at this picture…

What possible reason could this guy have for wearing a blue tie in Texas Stadium? Granted some say it is a silver tie – but what’s the difference? Doesn’t the owner of a $1 billion NFL franchise have any green ties?
Mr. Lurie, Not BLUE and not SILVER when playing the Cowboys – how long have you owned this team?
We are disgusted by this.

Again the Eagles Fail.

Philly SportsCast #114 - December 13, 2007
That’s about all we can take for this Eagles season. This loss to the Giants - a game that was as winnable as any - simply could not be won by a team that has no idea that wining football games is its job. Yes, again the Eagles fail. What was that Peter King? McNabb to Baltimore?
Aaron Rowand is gone, Mike Richards will be here for a very long time and the Sixers can’t loose a game - they must start loosing games.

The Backup and the King are Dead.

Philly SportsCast #113 - December 6, 2007
Just when we though all of the Eagles’ problems would be solved with the emergence of A.J. Feely, a strong dose of reality has set in - this guy is a journeyman backup and certainly no solution of what ails the Eagles. Is Donovan McNabb the solution? Ahhhh, the toughest of questions.
This week also brought us the long-overdue firing of Billy King. The Sixers are a dead franchise something or someone need to breathe new life into this franchise. Welcome, Ed Stefanski, to the toughest job in town. The Phillies’ brass are walking out of Nashville with only empty briefcases in their hands. No pitching. No nothing.
Finally we want to thank Eva Mendes for sending in the below photograph into the sportscast, suddenly it’s a little brighter here in the basement.
