With Johan Santana about to sign a monster deal with the New York Mets, it looks like the Phillies will have to work a little harder to get to Jimmy Rollins’ magic number of 100 wins.
As Indiana Jones would say, “Snakes. Why did it have to be the Mets.”
Remember, the Mets haven’t won anything yet and it’s not all doom and gloom - it’s Superbowl week and your Philadelphia Flyers are, as of this writing, in first place.
Let’s have some fun, it’s the least we can do.

While we can complain that the Giants are in the playoffs, it won’t do anyone any good. At least we could have made a few dollars on them bums – turns out we couldn’t even do that.
But that’s short money, in the long run it looks like Eli will be around for a long time – something that could get DC well paid. What do you think? Listen to the podcast and let me know if you to believe in miracles.
We also discuss the Spectrum’s long-overdue demise as well as the Flyers problem with the Devils. Oh yeah – Jimmy Rollins predicted 100 wins for the 2008 Phillies. Oh yeah! It’s on for sure.

There are times when you just have to pick the lesser of two evils. This week those of us in the basement became Giants fans. I understand that the rule is to despise all New York teams first and then move on to Dallas.
However, this week was different. Terrell Owens is a Cowboy, this combined with the hatred we all have for the Cowboys forced us to the exception to the rule. Wow! Did the Giants come through.
No back to your regularly scheduled programming… Enjoy the podcast, we enjoyed making it.

With the Flyers on a roll and all of this Roger Clemens junk sweeping the nation, we celebrate Brian Westborook being named to the 2007 All-Pro team. It was a hell of a season for the man and all (two now) of us at Philly SportsCast greatly appreciate the effort.
Of course we get into the Clemens crap, Donavan McNabb using the internets to pleasd his case, the Flyers and how scary the Phillies currently are at third base - this could be a mess.

We open the new year with a two-man show and tackle the end of the Eagles’ season. Wow that was quick. While it’s widely known that the Birds need playmakers, there is no doubt that if PLAYMAKERS are not brought in - this team will be stuck in the middle of the pack – and that is no good.
Dave and I also get into the Flyers and what this team need to be a winning squad – consistently.
