Vick is hitting the cap for just under $5M this year, so he is costing the team more than $1M. Money is not an issue for GMs, it’s the cap space. Maybe that money should have been spent on DAWKINS.

The Eagles don’t go after bad character guys?

Vick is not worth the trouble. He is not a good QB and he is 30yrs old. His work ethic is a joke and the “Wild Dog” isn’t going to help that scary bad O-Line.

Billy Wagner was claimed off of trade waivers. Any chance it’s the Phils? He’s hitting 95-96mph and the slider looked great last night. My money’s on the Cubs or Marlins.

I pray to god it wasn’t the Phils. I don’t care if Wags is hitting 102 on the gun. He’s a whiny little bitch, and he blows up when you need him most. Career post-season ERA is over 9. That doesn’t even take into account the games he’s blown down the stretch everywhere he’s pitched.

I don’t care how shaky Lidge looks right now. I’d rather Lidge pitch with a broken arm over the Phils bringing that clown in. The chemistry is just too good on the Phils right now to have that cancer around.

Well, it didn’t take Wags long to start running his piehole:

Talking about the possibility of the Phils being the team that claimed him off waivers:

    >>>“No,” Wagner said. “That [crap] was hard enough for two years. I can’t imagine a month, coming off Tommy John. At 38, Tommy John, no. They expect way too much.” <<<

Yeah Wags, I guess expecting you to actually close a game in September against another WC rival is "expecting way too much".

This statement by Wagner sums up this loser's entire career. The fans of Philly expect too much??? Dude…you make $15 mil a year, and pitch one inning every 3rd day. Grow a pair, already. Hell…you could buy a solid gold pair with that kind of coin.

I hate to break it to you Wags, but expectations around here have gone WAY UP since you left. If you couldn't hack it when the Phils were competitng for the WC (and losing, thanks to you)….how could you handle it now??? It's World Series or Bust in this town. Take those September meatballs to Chicago or Miami. Better yet, maybe some AL team
picked you up. If so, I hope you run into the Rays a few times, so Pat Burrell and his "one-path swing" can make you his personal bitch a few more times.

Ralph Vacchiano – “Jerry Jones spent $1.2 billion on Cowboys Stadium and nobody made sure the scoreboard over midfield was high enough to avoid punts? Really?”
