Philly SportsCast #177 – April 29, 2009

There are times when we want our teams to only win and never lose. However, that is as unrealistic an expectation as me at the poker table. The Phillies have given us a taste of what it’s like to have a winner in town and the flavor is so sweet.

However, the Flyers season is over with their playoff series loss to Pittsburgh and with it an offseason full of questions.

Also, by all accounts, the Eagles came out as huge winners in this year’s NFL draft. Are we to believe that a bunch of rookies can make this team a winner? Why do people believe that? Is it because they want – or need – something to believe in?

Enjoy.
