The Philadelphia Bomb Squad has been called to Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia after three suspicious packages were found on the first base side of the ballpark.

Police were called just before 4:30 this afternoon, after the packages were found. The 6-inch by 2-inch packages had exposed medal and wires.

“The bomb squad was brought in as a precaution,” Mike Stiles, Phillies Vice President of Operations and Administration said. “We should know shortly if we had a bomb or not.”

“This could be trash, guys,” Styles added.

We still have no confirmation on the rumor that the package had a Mets sticker on it.

UPDATE:

Police say those packages were supplies left by a hot dog vendor. All clear at the ballpark. Enjoy the game. Go Phils!!!
