Pat Burrell Is A Met?

UPDATE:

The Mets have gone out of their way to deny this trade – so it does not look like Pat Burrell is headed to the Mets – at least not today.

It is being reported this morning that former Phillies outfielder Pat Burrell has reportedly been traded from the Marlins to the Cubs to the fcukin’ Mets!

The Daily News’ David Murphy: “Contrary to reports back in Philly, Pat Burrell has NOT been traded to the Cubs or Mets or anyone else. At least not yet.” via Twitter.

The Twitterverse has it that Mets officials are denying the hell out of this.

More to come.
