Do You Believe In Miracles? The Eagles Are In The Playoffs

[philadelphiaeagles.com]
With a 44-6 beat down of the Cowboys the Eagles have made the playoffs and will play at NFC North champion Minnesota Minnesota Sunday, January 4th at 4:30 p.m.
It doesn’t get any more improbable than this.
The Birds needed loses by Tampa Bay a home and Chicago on the road – and then needed to beat a very capable Cowboys team to get in.
Merry Christmas. The Raiders’ beat the Bucs and Houston defeated Chicago – both with 31-24 finals.
Wow. Not only are the Eagles in – but the Cowboys are out – and that is the AWESOME bottom line.
“It’s the NFL,” Eagles head coach Andy Reid said. “I’m proud of the guys but we’re not done though. We’ve got to the doorstep. Now we have to climb up the steps.
“You couldn’t have drawn it up any better than it happend today. It came right down to Dec. 28. That was awesome. To see Lincoln Financial Field electric like that. That is what the thing is all about.”

In what was essentially a playoff game for both teams, the Eagles (9-6-1) SMOKED the clumsy Cowboys (9-7) up and down the field. Donavon McNabb threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, and Brian – the animal – Dawkins forced two fumbles that were returned for scores.
This game was a treat – a gift from the football gods.

Wow. I have no idea what to make of this team anymore. They could ride this defense to a Super Bowl win or lay an egg in Minnesota next week. Either way there is no doubt in my mind that both McNabb and Reid are going to be here next year. But that’s next year. This year we’re in the playoffs. GO BIRDS!!!

We all feel the Birds can beat Minnesota, but then you have the Andy factor. Which Andy Reid will come to coach? The pass happy Reid or the balance Reid. I hope he realizes he can’t pass 50 times a game & not to mention he is going against former coordinator for the Birds Brad Childress.
