In regards to the debut of MMA on National TV.

Elite XC has built a nice roster of fighters. Kmbo Slice has a lot of work to do to become one of the top MMA heavyweights. Although he does have work to do he did show some impressive progress.

UFC, the top MMA division, is losing it’s fighters to Elite XC and WEC. The popularity of MMA is spreading like wildfire and has already eclipsed boxing.

These fighters are tremendous athletes with great conditioning. They have to learn several forms of Martial Arts to best prepare themselves for the stiff competition at the top of the game.

The worlds top boxers would not stand a chance against the top MMA fighters at the same weight. Boxing is one dimensional angle in the art of fighting. A boxer has zero ground game where most fights are won through submission.

MMa has a lot of work to do if it wants to take over boxing for good. UFC president Dana White is the BIGGEST problem in the sport. His classless “vinny boom batts” attitude and demeanor make MMA seem more like a circus than an art. MMA needs to professionalize its image more so it can pull away from the WWE/brutality/Circus image it has tattooed on its forehead.

Dave: The Faber Pulver fight was a great example of what the sport brings to the table. Two guys with respect for each other dueling it out.
