The Phillies and outfielder Jayson Werth have agreed to a two-year deal for $10 million.

In 134 games last season (103 starts), Werth hit .273 with 24 home runs and 67 RBIs. He also scored 73 runs and stole 20 bases. An absolute postseason catalyst, Werth hit .309 with two home runs, had four RBIs, seven doubles and four stolen bases.

It is understood that Werth will make $2 million in 2009, $7 million in 2010 and get a $1 million signing bonus. That big 2010 boost comes in Werth’s first year of free agency.

Todd Zolecki is also reporting that the Phillies have reached an agreement with righthander Chad Durbin on a one-year, $1.635 million contract.
