Mets’ Putz Out 10-12 Weeks
Mets reliever J.J. Putz has had surgery to remove a bone spur and fragments of bone from his right elbow.
The Mets said that Putz is expected to start throwing in about six weeks – and will be able to return in 10 to 12 weeks.
Putz was put on the 15-day disabled list Friday after going 1-4 with a 5.22 ERA and two saves.
Boo hoo.
