Mets’ Ryan Church Latest To Talk Smack – Bat Boy On Deck

Looks like Ryan Church wants to be the next Met to talk smack:

“Hey, [the Phillies] won the World Series. More power to them,” the outfielder told the NY Daily News. “There’s only a big bull’s-eye on their back. We’re coming.”

Perhaps it was lingering effects of the two concussions Church has suffered that would make him spew this garbage. Or perhaps he simply wants to be the latest Met to talk trash – and not be able to back it up on the field.

What’s that definition of stupidity? O’ yeah. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

It’s one thing if a Gold Glove shortstop says the Phillies are the team to beat or a World Series MVP goes on a New York radio show to talk a little smack, but Ryan Church? Is this really the best the Mets got? What’s next? The Bat Boy? The caterer?

I almost feel sorry for the swollen-headed slob.

Almost.

    OK, this is way past old. Time for the Metsies to put up or shut up.

    Maybe Roberto Alomar can sew a Mets logo with the words “Team to Beat” on his AIDS quilt.
