Monday Night Football is messing with the Phillies.
The Marlins have announced that they are switching their September 21st game with the Phillies to July 16th at Dolphin Stadium in order to accommodate the woeful Miami Dolphins, the primary tenant at the stadium.
This has the Marlins getting an off-day in late September. But instead of a three-game set with their NL East rival Phillies, that series will now will be two games. This Phillies will now have to play a four-game series at Dolphin Stadium from Sept. 16-19.
Missing the game later in the season could be crucial to these two clubs as the Phillies have been picked by many to win the National League East and the Marlins are off to a very good start.
