“Eaton was originally chosen in the first round by Philadelphia in the 1996 amateur draft. He never won more than 11 games nor pitched 200 innings in any season, but the Phillies gave him a hefty deal after he was 7-4 with a 5.12 ERA in 13 starts in his only season with Texas in 2006.”

You liked this deal at the time it went down if I remember correctly. Can we still access the old forum discussions?

actually, i wasn’t exactly ecstatic about this signing, but i thought it was alright, it was defendable, his numbers were alright minus all the injuries, he had some upside, but obviously, he hasn’t delivered, and gillicks still a fool, i thought the signing was alright , but he definitely paid too much, i wouldn’t be mad at it if he had signed him for like 4 or 5 mill a year
